Privacy Policy

Alottle is operated by Ruda Works LLC, a Michigan limited liability company in the United States. This policy explains what Alottle processes, why, and how you can control it.

In plain language: Alottle does not sell your information, run ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Information Alottle processes

We process your email address and Amazon Cognito identifiers; inventory, groceries, recipes, preferences, cravings, allergy information, favorites, feedback, cooking history, meal plans, scan history, and generated recipe images; and product interactions needed to operate the app. Kitchen photos are uploaded temporarily when you ask Alottle to scan them. Alottle also records per-account AI feature counts and privacy-safe technical measurements such as token totals, media byte counts, processing time, model name, and estimated service cost. These measurements do not contain kitchen photos, inventory text, prompts, generated recipes, or speech recordings.

How information is used

We use this information to authenticate you, synchronize your kitchen across devices, analyze photos, generate and personalize recipes, support cooking features, maintain your account, verify optional subscription access, apply service allowances, understand operating cost, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support requests. Alottle is intended for people age 13 and older.

AI and service providers

Kitchen photos are processed using AWS services and OpenAI visual models. Recipe and inventory context, cravings, preferences, and cooking-instruction text may be sent to OpenAI to create recipes, substitutions, images, or natural voice. Requests use the OpenAI API with storage disabled where supported. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default; eligible abuse-monitoring records may be retained for up to 30 days.

Platform speech recognition may process spoken commands. Alottle does not retain or upload microphone recordings itself.

Retention

Subscriptions and diagnostics

If you choose Alottle Plus, Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment and RevenueCat synchronizes the product identifier, subscription status, renewal status, and expiration date with Alottle. Alottle does not receive your full payment-card details. When optional crash reporting is configured, redacted crash diagnostics may be sent to Sentry without user identity, request payloads, kitchen content, or interaction breadcrumbs.

Sharing and disclosure

Information is disclosed only to service providers needed to run Alottle, including Amazon Web Services, OpenAI, Apple, Google platform services, RevenueCat, and Sentry when crash reporting is enabled, or when legally required. Alottle does not sell personal data, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use advertising SDKs.

Allergy information

Allergy information is optional and is used to personalize recipes and show possible conflicts. Alottle is a food-and-drink app, not medical advice; always check packaging, cross-contact risks, and professional medical guidance.

Your choices

You can download a portable copy of your data or delete your account from Account settings. You can also use the web deletion page. Deletion removes persistent account data and account access. You may manage speech, camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings.

Security and children

Alottle uses authenticated, owner-isolated cloud data and private storage. No system can guarantee absolute security. Alottle is not directed to children under 13; contact us if you believe a child provided information.
